Liste: Chathuri Nissansala

Niru Ratnam will present Rituals of Retrievals and Resistance a solo presentation of the Sri Lankan artist Chathuri Nissansala at Liste 2026.  Bringing together Nissansala’s sculptural works, textile and bead-based pieces, and a new live performance.

The exhibition examines how memory, labor, and the body are shaped by history, culture, and place. Nissansala’s practice is deeply rooted in the material and emotional landscapes of Sri Lanka, reflecting both the intimate domestic sphere and the larger social and historical contexts of their homeland.
